What to ask a surgeon when you go for a consult?

I have to find a surgeon in my area so that when the time comes for adhesiolysis I'm prepared and have my ducks in a row.

I'm very confused at this point, after reading differing techniques used by different doctors. I know that the SprayGel isn't used here in the States yet, so that's out. What about the "abdolift"? Is that used here now too? And...is it preferable and safe? How about the CO2 factor?? Since I'm not able (or going to be able) to fly overseas or even to the Grand Caymans or anywhere else, I have to find a doctor here in Arizona who is covered by my insurance and when I have a consult I want to be able to ask the best questions I can regarding the adhesiolysis and they're experience with it. Can anyone help me?

Also...the barrier that's used now...is that Seprafilm and if so, is that standard procedure to use it here in the US?

I'm very confused. It seems there are no clear cut guidelines right now and the more I read, the more confused I get.

Any help to clarify all this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
