Hi Melody. Yes, I was in your shoes last year. I was throwing up all
the time and losing weight at an alarming rate. Since adhesions don't
show up on tests (unless you're "lucky" enough to be fully obstructed
and it shows up on x-ray), no doc was willing to sign my disability
papers. When I finally found a surgeon willing to take a peek and take
down the adhesions, no problem since we then had a definite diagnosis.
Jeez....
First - get thee to a pain management doc! There are pain docs, and then
there are Pain Docs. If one doesn't help you, move on to another one. I
would also suggest getting a different PCP or move on to a gastro doc to
help manage the symptoms. Sometimes the gastros are more willing to
believe adhesive disease and may actually sign your paperwork.
