Dear Rebecca, Adhesions do not disappear, but the pain can vary or move. Sometimes, we get relief for extended periods of time, and sometimes it turns into long periods of unending agony. A laporotomy (big, open cut) to rid yourself of adhesions probably will cause more adhesions to form. I'm sorry to be so blunt. Adhesions start from a trauma like surgery. So another

surgery might help or hurt. Without the new barrier (spraygel) and an advanced specialist in adhesion laproscopic surgery, you would probably be better off waiting. If you have not yet found the quilt on this site, please go there and read, read, read. Some ladies have had thirty surgeries and each carries a risk of damage. My story is on there too. With kindest regards, Sally Grigg
