Dear Dawn, Spray Gel is different for several reasons. It stays where
it is put. I was told about a little test that they did with Spray Gel
and eggs. They cracked open 2 eggs, one egg they put a barrier on it an
punctured the yolk, the yolk ran all over. The other egg, they cracked
open and put Spray Gel on, when they punctured the yolk, it stayed in
place, not runny at all. I have had several different barriers used on
me. With all the barriers, my adhesion pain returned, sometimes with in
a few days up to a few months. I also think that Spray Gel works in
combination with an experienced adhesion removal specialist. Surgery
does cause more adhesions and reformation of adhesions, but with a
specialist and Spray Gel, the chance of adhesion is greatly reduced. I
know of others who have had some success with Drs in the US, but I think
they are rare. It will help some when Spray Gel is approved in the US,
but I also believe you need an experience lap surgeon to use it to have
success.
