Stephanie, I am so sorry for your pain and agony that you have to face on a daily basis. There are many options out there for you. 1# Seek a reputable pain managment specialist who can help you take control of your pain. 2 # Seek a pain counselor that you can talk to once a week (it does help!) 3# The only reason for any surgery is if you have a parital bowel obstruction in the abdomen. Surgeries of any kind just complicate things worst. This disease is a merry go round. 4# You may also want to apply for social security disability. 5 # Keep all of your medicals records on file with you at home. If you need any further assistance, I am always here for you. I just recently was in the hospital for the pain, so I know what you are going through. I have been reading these messages, and thought I was the only one that was going through this awful pain. I too have had many surgeries on my belly and have adhesions. I went in 3 yrs ago and had the adhesions removed and low and behold, about 6 months ago, pain was back with a vengence.
