Hi Denise. I feel your pain! You are definitely on the right track with pursuing a referral to a pain clinic. Let's face it, other than surgery, pain management is really about all that can be done for adhesions patients. Don't be surprised if you have to see more than one pain doc before you find one you 'click' with. Whoever it ends up being, remember the relationship you start now with a pain doc will be a long-term one, so you really need to be comfortable with it.

I came to the same conclusion after a similar experience as yours, and with a great pain doc and pain shrink, I'm handling life so much better. Many times acceptance of a chronic pain condition is the most difficult state to achieve.

While you may never be pain free, the pain CAN be managed to where you are not a total invalid all the time. I felt so free once I really got that sunk into my brain.

Best wishes for finding a good pain doc and managing your life around this miserable condition. {{{{{{{{}}}}}}}
