I am not Alex, but I can say that each persons amount differs
based on their contributions while working. (Wages and years
paying in)
Social Security has a benefits calculator that can help you
to estimate what your benefit amount will be.
On a side note, I was informed by a phone rep at ssa to watch
the benefits' statement closely, to insure that they have the
correct contribution amounts / years worked etc...
Of course, when your file is 'open' (as mine has been for over
a year) you can not request your statement.
