Hi, I do understand your situation. I too have had many surgeries because
of adhesions and endometriosis. Blocked bowels, everything stuck together
on my insides, having pain any time I ate. I am one year after my last
surgery and have put myself on a low residue diet. Yes, I am allergic to
all shellfish, mollusks, fish and all citrus fruits (including tomatoes) and
the all natural preservative citric acid. And yes, it is very frustrating
having pain everytime after you eat. But what choice do we have? I watched
my grandmother eat nothing but toast, sip tea and occasionally have some
mashed potatoes (homemade only) she got a reaction from instant. Maybe you
should try seeing an allergist too! Some of your pain may be from food
allergies or intolerances. It sounds funny, but I feel as though since all
of the digestive problems I avoid socializing because everyone wants you to
taste their food or wants you to eat. So, I just don't go anywhere to eat
unless it is someone who understands my situation. But, I do have a lot to
be thankful for even with the frustration of all these problem. Try to hang
in there. There are those who you can comisurate with and we do
understand. Any time you need to vent just contact us. We understand.

I am starting to get to the point to where I don't even remember what it is
like to even chew anymore! I have a history of a ruptured ectopic,
hysterectomy, 3 laparoscopies, and a laparotomy. I have two partial bowel
blockages which I was able to deal with for 3 years, but that is without
eating any kind of beef, no raw veggies or fruit, no large amount of fiber
and have living on Miralax. Presently the closest thing to chew on is
saltine cracker and that is very few. I drink grape juice, Carnation
Instant Breakfast mixed into Silk Soy Milk and once in a while I will drink
V8 Fusion. But it sometime causes me to get in pain. I am scheduled for a
laparoscopy this Friday to remove MORE adhesions but the doctor could not
promise me that I won't end up with a open laparotomy and even a possible
colostomy. I am tired of watching everyone around me eat anything and
everything and all I would love is a nice toss salad and maybe even a big
juicy cheeseburger. Does anyone else have this problem???? and if so what
are you able to eat and enjoy?
