Removing the Omentum

I've had adhesions since I had my daughter 11 1/2 years ago. About
every two years the pain starts too be unbarable and I have had to have
laprascopic surgery to remove them.
My last surgery was November of 2007. it hasn't even been 6 months this
time and it's already hurting again.
My gynecologist mentioned that the next time I opt for surgery he wanted
me to think about having my omentum removed because all the adhesions
are attached to the omentum.
Has anyone on here had their omentum removed? What are your experiences?
Side effects? Did it work?
