Hi, all! I just got home from the hospital after my adhesion surgery
yesterday. My surgeon removed adhesions that were wrapped around my
gall bladder and my colon on the right side. He also removed adhesions
on my left side. Additionally, he found a golf ball size "chocolate
cyst" on my right ovary. He called an OB/GYN surgeon in to remove that
as well. He wanted him to remove the ovary as well, but the OB/GYN
wouldn't do it as I hadn't signed a consent for that. My surgeon said
he recommends having that removed after I recover from this surgery. The
right sided areas where he removed the adhesions from were the areas I
was having most of my pain. I also had pain on my lower right side,
which is explained by the ovarian cyst. The surgeon told my mom after
the surgery that both the adhesions and the cyst cause extreme pain,
Don't we all know that too well??? I'm having pain from the incisions,
but it doesn't seem to be the same type that I had before surgery. Time
will tell for sure. I thought of all of you who suffer from this and
was wishing each of you were there having surgery as well! I'll keep
posting to let you know how things progress. I hope you're having a
pain tolerant day!
