I had my uterus removed, both due to adhesions and fibroid-like issues. You are correct - if they remove your uterus, the adhesions will only form and attach to a new area. It is not a solution. I am back in pain after having two surgeries for adhesions in the last two years. I had a complete hysterectomy in 2004. It does not end the problems, trust me! Best of luck to you.
