I've had two Laparoscopic Adhesiolysis with Dr. Redan and Dr. Reich(pioneer of laparoscopic surgery); however, the adhesions returned with a vengeance. Until the FDA approves something that keeps adhesions from returning I probably will not go through another MAJOR SURGERY again. I live a life of constant pain. I've exhausted every pain pill made that I'm aware of. They ease my pain probably 30-40 percent. I'm never pain free. I read about a Dr. Cook in California who sounds like he may be doing something that is working. At least his success rate is 70 percent which is pretty good. What I liked about him was he operates on his patient while they're awake...Don't ask me I don't know how this is done. But, anyhow he lyses just the adhesions that are causing the pain. It makes sense to me because some adhesions are more dense than others. He uses something to keep the adhesions from returning. He goes back in several days later to look to make sure the adhesions didn't reform. The website is http://www.vitalhealth.com I sent a message to him and received a telephone from his nurse the following day. She gave me a site for doctors who do non-invasive surgery in my area (Florida/East Coast). The procedure he uses sounds like it might work. There were some patient testimonies on his site.

I'm searching and praying that God will cure me of these massive adhesions attached to all my intestines and entrapping my nerves. Many times I feel like giving up but I have my children and family who want me to be around as long as the Lord allows me. They just don't truly understand how much I suffer and how unbearable my pain is much of the time.

If there is anyone on this site that knows a doctor(s) that can perform this surgery successfully without the adhesions coming back, I would be forever grateful to hear from you. After working 25 years for the government and 10 years in real estate, I thought retirement was going to be my time to enjoy life; but, I cannot because of the excruciating pain I must endure.

Thank you for allowing me to vent. I know all of you understand what I am going through because many of you are also having to live a life of pain. You are all in my prayers. May God bless each and every one of you and may he hear our prayers and heal us from a life of pain.

Bye for now, Linda, Jacksonville, FL
