I had a colon resection of the transverse colon in Dec due to a
perforation. The week I got home I had all types of strange pains and
movements where the surgery was. The best way I can describe it is that
there is a small balloon that is being blown up, the area gets kinda
hard, and then it passes. Does it all day. Chalked it up to just
healing. Then, a few weeks ago (3 mths post op) I started having some
razor blade type feeling floating around all the areas where the surgery
was as well as the balloon filling up feeling. No fever and CT scan
with barium looked normal. Antibiotics have eased the pain somewhat and
have been on a low residue diet for the most part. I am worried that
this may be adhesions and was wodnering if anyone else had this type of
sharp balloon type pressure pain and if I should go back to the surgeon
since nobody can figure out what it is.
