Hi Peggy, I went to bed early yesterday, so I missed your message. I hope this gets to you before your appointment. The colonoscopy is not that bad as they gave me valum and demerol and I don't remember any of it. The valum gave me a headache that lasted for over twenty four hours (the same reason I can't take valium). The prep is the bad part of this as you have to drink a gallon of this awful stuff. It gets hard to keep from throwing up. Chris mentioned that there is an easier way to prep using Fleet. I would ask your doctor if this is possible. They did the endoscopy at the same time as the colonoscopy so I don't remember it either except that I had a slight sore throut. This is where they pass a flexible tube with a camera down your esophogus into the stomach, in my case they were looking for where the bleeding is coming from. Your doctor may be able to tell from the colonoscopy if there is blockage that is causing your pain. It may be worth it. I guess we just have to keep ruling things out till we find out what it is!? Good luck and take care. Let me know what your doctor finds out. Thanks. Ginny
