Hi Ginny,
Sorry to hear that you are having such problems.I have an appointment
with a G I Dr. tomorrow and I am afraid that the next step will be that
he will do a colonoscopy.Last year my gyn had ordered a ct scan and a
barium both of which came back negative. And when I saw the Gasterial Dr.
last August he did not think that my pain was G I related and thought
that it was adhesions. After 2 laporoscopies within 6 months and lysis of
adhesions performed I am still having the pain so my gyn is now worried
that he may be over looking something.I just had a cystoscopy done this
past Friday and as you put it .It was another normal test.So off I go to
see the G I Dr. again.Any advice if he does want to do a colonoscopy?
As far as medications that should be used?Or Any type of sedation?I
really hate the thought of having to go through more tests.I found the
barium to be very unpleasant and from what I hear about colonoscopies
they are worse.I went to a pain management Dr. yesterday and he is
trying me on different meds. as described in an earlier post today.I
try my best to hope that there are better days ahead but it is very
diffecult. And could you please tell me what an endoscopy is?I'm sure
that is not a pleasant test either.
