Ann,

I am lucky that my cyst didn't rupture, but it did rob me of one of my ovaries and tubes. The reason that I am going to this particular surgeon is because he does have experience with Seprafilm. I value your opinion that you think it is worth it to use an adhesion barrier. I say this because the surgeon said that he would be willing to try and perform the sugery through laproscopy (sp) and if he couldn't get everything that way then he would switch to a vertical incision. My GI feels that there are too many known locations of adhesions to just do it laproscopy so he thinks I would end up with an incision anyway. As much as I would like to avoid a laporotomy, it would allow a barrier to be used. Thanks for your feedback.
