Merri Ellen, I am not taking Celexa now, but did earlier this year. I took it for almost a month and when I seen my pcp (about adhesion) I mentioned I need a refill and he didn't hear me or whatever, but he never mentioned it. I was in so much pain after the exam I forgot to remind him. It had just started to help when I stopped taking it. My ex's girlfriend takes it and she says it helps her. The only downfall I could find with it was you can't eat. For me that was a plus. I'm not sure about you. Congrats on the new doctor. My doctor has reacted the same way (SO FAR). The relief is astounding. Good luck...Teresa
