Klonapin must be used for a wide variety of ailments! I have been taking
it for the past couple of months for BMS. This stands for Burning Mouth
Syndrome, which is a whole bunch of symptoms involving the gums, tongue,
teeth and inside of mouth and the face area. A constant burning and
shooting pains, etc. This is caused by dental injury from the novocain
injection, or root canal or other types of oral surgery. Mine was
caused by the injection, which damaged the nerves.
Klonapin is in the same family as Ativan, Valium, Xanax, but is usually
prescribed for seizure disorders. For some reason, it seems to work on
any type of nerve pain or nerve damage. Problem is that it makes me
very drowsy. I only take it at night, but it seems to stay with me most
of the day too. I'm going to stop taking it soon, and see if I can do
without it.
