Verna, I too was ordered a barium enema and had severe pain while doing it. The doctor wanted to know if my intestine were stuck to my back because of back pain. It came out negative. Then just 3 weeks ago I had a Laporscopic surgery and he said my intestines were stuck everywhere, such as my vagina, bladder, back, sides and abdomen and to each other. I also had a kink !!!! I will never do another one if my life depends on it. And I think no one else should either because they never show anything and are to painful. I also had decreased pain afterward though. That is my 2 cents worth. Thanks Jaynie
