This thread was brought to my attention today by Donna Wyant. Yes, Donna is an employee of MediSpecialty.com, she is not in our sales & marketing department, she is in our Editorial Department as the coordinator for the Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy, Hysterectomy & Alternatives and Chronic Pelvic Pain sections of OBGYN.net, the latter of which David Wiseman is an Editorial Advisor of.
If you take a trip to the main page of the IAS website http://www.adhesions.org/ you will see that this entire website and this discussion board are supported by OBGYN.net which is part of MediSpecialty.com - because of the shared technology and resources when someone posts anonymously it shows an @medispecialty.com email address - so, essentially, this website is also a part of MediSpecialty.com and yes, we do try to make some income in order to bring this service to you and so many others as well. We do not seek our income from our consumers but rather through corporate sponsorship - however, and this is the biggie here, our corporate sponsors do not control the content on any section of any of the websites. In this way you can count on us to continue to bring you non-biased, current, accurate and factual information.
