Dear Annie Although it may seem like a waste of time and money to have tests done that will not show adhesions, it may show something else. Something other than adhesions may be causing the pain, or adding to the adhesion pain. I have had every type of test & scan that there is, of course, they have all been normal, thank God. But, if there had been something, they would have caught it early. Of course, there was the scan that showed my appendix was enlarged, but, I had that removed in 1987 when I had my last c-section & tuble ligation. Also, not having the test might be telling the DR that you aren't willing to help find out what is causing your pain, even though you know it is adhesions, & then the Dr might not take you seriously & give up trying to help you. Even now, when a Dr wants to do a test, I am willing, if only to show what is NOT wrong with me. I hope this helps somehow. robin M
