What to ask the surgeon

I am going to a new surgeon in hopes of having surgery soon. What would
you consider the most important things to insist on? I know to ask for:
No talc on gloves
No dry sponges
Keep everything moist
Flush with copious amounts of liquid
Leave no matter behind.
I will not be able to have this done by lap, so the chances are greater
for more adhesions to appear. My adhesions, I have been told are very
dense and very strong. This will be the 5th surgery, but with a new
surgeon.
I appreciate any suggestions.
