John, I also have problems breathing, not all the time but usually a few times a week, and especially after high salt intake. I have attributed it to the hiatal hernia I also have.

I have not gone to a doctor about it because after so many years of going to doctors for abdominal problems and not receiving help I gave up on it and take care of muself "my way". I have also had adhesion problems most of my adult life and I will be 54 this month. It could possibly also be from them but who knows.

When I have the problems breathing it is accompanied by allot of bloating and terrible pressure under my ribs that appears to be putting pressure on my lungs. I have water pills and take one of them when this gets bad and won't cease on it's own.

Tonight has been one of those times so I will take the water pill in the morning and between that and my Herblax for my bowels I usually feel better for a few days. I had an Italian sandwich yesterday so that most likely caused it. Hope this helps. Good Luck! JEAN (from PA)
