Re: Digestive Problems, Headaches & Leg Pain

Oh you don't know how much I detest hearing the IBS thing. My doctor mentioned this to me after the hysterectomy. I told him that was just a catch all and I refused to accept that. I truly believe it's like you said, they have no clue what the problem is so they say IBS.

I know this sounds crazy, but I was thinking today if maybe it's also why I'm so tired all the time. If things aren't moving through my intestines correctly, they can't be absorbing nutrients correctly either. I'm also a walking fiber farm lol (love that analogy!). I eat a salad for lunch every day, I take metamucil now and am eating two bowls of shredded wheat a day. I still haven't had a bowel movement since LAST Sunday! I have enough gas to supply Texaco for a month though lol! I need a shirt that says "no flames or we're going to blow!" It's awful. Of course, the more bloated I get the worse the pain gets. I hate to take another laxative because I'm so frightened of my body getting used to them. I'm not sure what else to do, so I plan to do nothing until I talk to my doctor next week. In the past three weeks I've had to take a laxative twice, so I really don't want to do that again unless I have to :(.

well, whinning, sorry. Thanks for listening. It's so great that others are also sick of hearing IBS! That isn't my problem...or else after they cut down the adhesions I would have had the same problem. Everything worked like it used to for a month and now I'm back to where I was before. I just wish there was an imaging study they could do to locate adhesions. After two surgeries in four months, I really don't want anyone to even look in there for fear of more adhesions :(.
