Hi...I have something you may want to think about. When I was 28 and had my last baby, my doctor beged me to have a hysto. I was scared and I didn't want to. But I has so much pain and my uterus was hanging out (sorry so gross). So finally I gave up and had one done at 29. My pain went away for 15 years. Now its back. Don't know why I didn't have pain in those 15 years. ALSO----I really think it's wise because in most cases a person comes back from the hysto with more scar tissue. I had already had 2 C sections and no one said then that my pain was from adhesion......but then 15 years, pain came back in a big way. were thinking the pain was my overies left over. So 4 years go back in to get them. Doctor said...easy surgery, just do it lap....I am not going to scare you. I did end up being cut from one pelvis bone to the other...Doc said he spent 3-4 hours scraping scar tissue out. My problem was C sections yes....but the doctor said also it was so many laps. I had 7 D&C and laps.... I know they alone can do some damage. I thought this would help but it looks like a dork wrote it....Its late and I have taken my funny pills...so I am off to bed...hope it worked. Kristie

>liz: I notice that you mentioned that your hysterectomy ended your pain. I've been told by drs that I need one. Also have sometimes severe rectal pain and lower back pain (possibly from drain scarring in cul de sac during surgery). Many people advise me not to have hyster due to more adhesions. You say it ended your pain. Did you already have adhesions there? Did the hyster cause adhesions? How long ago was it? I'm interested because I'm trying to make a decision. Was also considering just having the fibroids removed and keeping uterus but was told fibroids will come back. Also told that uterus should come out when I get lysis so adhesions dont re adhere to uterus. In a total state of confusion and trying to make things right so i can possibly have a better quality of life. Any input anyone has re this would be so appreciated. Thanks.
