Hi Janice.
I have had this happen and once the bruising and
blood under the skin went away, I am left with
scarring on the abdomen. Some doctors ask me if
I've had a colostomy because the scarring resembles
an old wound I guess. I still bruise there from
time to time and that section of my abdominal wall
is very weak. I just had another surgery with bowel
resections in october and am still at huge risk for
hernia in that area. Don't wait to long to have it
looked at. Once he sees it, he'll know what to do.
My docs here in the states didn't have a clue until
it tore through the abdomen wall.
