Kathy;

I have adhesed bowels as well, in a month they will be seeing how adhesed they are, as I am having some severe problems with the adhesions pulling on my sciatic (?) nerve.

The specialist that I saw is obviously hesitant on doing surgery, but truly believes that there may be underlying problems causing all of this pain (such as endo). The problem with have your bowel adhesed is that normal the bowel is free floating and that if you get constipated or something different happens, due to the bowel not being pulled and not floating they can twist, hence your obstruction.

It's imperative to keep yourself as "regular" as possible. Eating high fiber however, can cause more pain, so beware how you accomplish this. The diarrhea that you have may be causing your bowels to move as well, and if you haven't done so, you need to seek out help from a Gastro doctor. Take your records showing the adhesions. All doctors that treat you need to be aware of the adhesions that you have.

I take Ultram (Tramadol) too. It is not really designed to relieve all of the pain, just to take "the Edge" off. Pain Management doctors worry about addictions, hence this is all mine will prescribe. But I found that taking one pill, waiting an hour or so, and then taking the second, helps a lot better. (I wait to see if the first one will help enough by itself). They state though taking more than 4 pills per day can cause seizures, so you have shouldn't do this more than twice daily.

We all seem to suffer our own ways, and we can only hope that in the near future something will be proven to work more than the 50% of the time that the current methods seem to work (and 50% may be liberal).

Hoping pain free days to all -

Hi! I too have tried Ultram.(Tramadol) is a non-narcotic, but, does and can give you that "narcotic" feeling.
