Dear Kara. My adhesions were caused by my first c-section & then from 2 more c-sections & hysterectomy & 7 surgeries for adhesions. My first c-section was 10/83 and my first lap where they found adhesions was 9/85. Adhesions stop growing after about 7 days after surgery. They will get tighter as they age, the pulling is what causes the pain. I would talk to the Dr to find out what would be safe to take if you are trying to concieve. A friend of mine is pg & was given vicodin 5 mg to help ease the pre mature labor contraction pain. So, hopefully it is safe for the baby. I am sure there is something you can take to ease the pain. Welcome, I know you will find a great amount of support & information. robin
