Nancy, >From being on the board for a few years, I
can say that surgery has probably helped maybe 5-10% of the patients that have gone to Germany or in the states.

I have gone to Colorado, Pennsylvania and Germany and I have not gotten cured. YES, surgery helps relieve the pain but not for long for most patients.

I have found that having surgery after surgery can be very dangerous. You can get the adhesions back worse or have other problems from the surgeries so please don't get into the mode of having surgery just to get a few weeks or months relief.

If you are going to have surgery, at least go to a adhesion specialist. There are no guarantees either that you will be cured. Kelly

Nancy,

You are going to get many responses to this quesion. A lot of people believe that surgery should never be done because they cause more adhesions. Others (like me) believe that surgery can help relieve the pain. The one thing I will tell you is that you should not have a "diagnostic" lap.
