Ellen, I was also dignosed with diverticulosis during a GI workup before surgery I had in May, but fortunately, no diverticulitis yet. I have not yet done research on that because other areas were of more concern so I find your information interesting. During my surgery in May, there were adhesions attached to the colon and some constriction. I don't know how they would compare with where the pockets of diverticulosis are, however. I have a follow-up with the GI in September. Will have to try and remember to ask about this, but it makes sense to me.
